Bright Sparks!!

I recently had to shoot a fashion spread named 'Bright Sparks'. I took on both roles as the stylist and was the photographer for the shoot, it was a great day and the autumn sun shone from start to finish which helped enhance the look and feel of the images!

Fashion Shoot - Sunday 19th September 2010!

On Sunday I spend the day with one of my favourite models, Caitlin Gall, she is professional, patient, talented and beautiful person! It was a casual shoot inspired by Urban Outfitters, for Fall 2010. I worked in Partnership with Siobhan Stewart another very talented and creative photographer: http://www.siobhanstewart.com. The shoot took place in Threipmuir Reservoir, Balerno, Edinburgh! To begin with the weather did not look promising but it actual fact it worked in our favour, we managed to shoot with mist over the hills which added to the atmosphere of the images and as the clouds parted in the afternoon, the soft light gave us very natural and flattering lighting effects. All in all we had a great laugh and rocked the shoot!! Here are some of the images captured!

Contemporary Social Photography!

I really enjoy working in the area of Social Photography. I love working with a range of different people and of different ages!! I work inside the studio and on location, my images are of a fashion/portrait style. I do enjoy location shoots, they can be special places, places of interest, ruins, castles and at home/gardens etc, I feel they have a more personal feel to them. I was testing out my studio lights a few months back and used my youngest brother, 'Gus' as my model. People do say we are scarily alike but I just don't see it! This shoot was taken before his sweet sixteen, can't believe how quickly time flys!!

City Scape....NYC!

I was working in the studio on Tuesday morning (09/03) shooting this City Scape. I decided to theme my city around New York as it is a place I have visited that has had a huge impact on me, its beauty, culture and night life. This amazing city screams glamour, bright lights and it seems to come alive at night! I choose minimal props, the lipsticks to symbolise the buildings and high powered woman and the red apple covered in glitter to symbolise the 'Big apple'!

These food images were shot in the studio which is a place I really love working. It has a great atmosphere and everyone is able to offer advise on set-up and lighting! These shots were for a brief to produce shots for Marks & Spencer....Posh!! :-)
